Diagonal All-School Play The Diagonal Drama Club is presenting the next all-school play called “Just Another Snow Day” by Bryan Starchman and produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing. This is a comedy that centers around a winter Homecoming dance and the school play taking place on the same night, but an unexpected snow storm throws a wrench in all planned activities. Mayhem ensues and everything goes wrong! Director Pam Hoffman says, “The kids are really excited to put on this crazy play! They are pulling together to get this on the stage for the community!” The play shows on Friday, November 3 at 6:30 pm in The Diagonal Daycare. Tickets are only $3 at the door. Don’t miss this entertaining evening out!

23rd Annual Bulldog XC Invitational Results Team score - 3rd place (87 points) Carter Lumbard - 10th place (20:11.06) Owen Whittington - 14th place (20:35.87) Garrett Stephens - 36th place (25:07.42) Jace Lamb - 40th place (26:37.18) EJ Allee - 44th place (36:51.38) "We traveled to Orient, IA to compete in our fourth meet of the year. I’m extremely proud of how they competed against some very good runners. Carter Lumbard earned a 10th-place medal with a time of (20:11.06). Owen Whittington earned a 14th-place medal with a time of (20:35.87). Garrett Stephens finished in 36th place with a time of (25:07.42). Jace Lamb finished in 40th place with a time of (26:37.18). EJ Allee finished in 44th place with a time of (36:51.38). September 7th, 2023 Hello Diagonal Learning Community! Thank you for the great start to the beginning of the year! Let’s keep the momentum going! We wanted to send you a message regarding the implementation of our security doors. We will go live with this on Monday, September 11th. The added security measures will help to ensure we are as safe as we can be. We have had cameras and key fob door access installed recently. The doors will be unlocked in the morning and at the end of school for students and parents to drop off and pick up as easily as possible. If you come during the school day, you will need to be “buzzed” in by the office. There is a camera and intercom on the main door of the middle/ high school building on the east side. Press the intercom button and someone will unlock the door for you to come in. If you are needing to go to the Elementary you will need to check in at the office in the High School building. Thank you for being patient in the transition to the new website and app. If you see something that isn’t correct or want to see something added, please contact Mr. Clark as he is the technology coordinator and the person running the site/ app. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. Due to the heat the Diagonal Community School will dismiss at 12:15 pm on Tuesday September 5, 2023. Cross Country at Leon has been postponed to Sat. September 9. Boys will run at 9:30 am. JH and HS Volleyball vs Lamoni has been postponed to a date to be announced.
