POWER SHIRTS- 2024 Get ready to show your Diagonal spirit with the newly designed ‘Power Shirts.’ The senior class is now selling short and long sleeved t-shirts, crew and hoodie sweatshirts, quarter zips, insulated glasses and personalized blankets. Two designs and colors are available and each can be personalized. There is an extra charge to personalize clothing items but none for the glasses and blankets. Orders can be paid by cash, check or the online option on the school’s website (https://www.diagonal.k12.ia.us/) . ATTENTION DHS ALUMNI: We are working on a project to compile all activities that participated in a state competition (sports, music, robotics, archery, speech, etc.) I have a list of most of the boys sports but the IGHSAU does not have a record of state participants. If you participated in state, please email lmcnutt@diagonalschools.org with the event, year and some type of proof such as a picture of a newspaper article, plaque or something similar. 2024 Diagonal Community Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament The Diagonal Community Scholarship Fund held its annual fund-raising golf tournament Saturday September 14 and the day was another huge success. Congratulations to Connor Giles and Jake Ricker being named champions of the tournament. This tournament raises funds to guarantee that every student graduating from Diagonal High School receives a scholarship to help pay for their college education. 32 teams took to the course looking to have fun and raise money scholarships. $5700 was raised during the tournament. The day consisted of lunch and 18 holes of golf. The evening concluded with the golf winners announced, the raffle winner announced and an auction with all the proceeds to the Diagonal Community Scholarship Fund. Thank you to the tournament committee for all the time and commitment they put in to make this a great event. A big thank you to everyone who played in the tournament, donated items or money, bought raffle tickets and purchased auction items. Thank you to Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club for hosting the tournament again this year. See you in 2025!
